The New England Science Writers is a professional organization of reporters, freelancers, public information officers, producers and authors whose work intersects with science and technology.

We provide forums to learn, explore, discuss, network and keep up with the rapidly changing world of science communication. We are based in greater Boston and serve members throughout New England.

Ponkapoag Pond

A crew of NESW members will join the Friends of the Blue Hills at Ponkapoag Pond in Canton, Massachusetts, for Green Up the Blue Hills 2026. Together, we’ll learn to identify and uproot invasive garlic mustard. Families welcome and all tools will be provided.
